Labour’s Glamorgan mafia

Friday, June 1st, 2007

There is no-one west of Swansea, east of Cardiff or north of Pontypridd in Rhodri Morgan’s “new” cabinet set out below:

Rhodri Morgan - First Minister

Carwyn Jones - Education, Language and Culture.

Edwina Hart - Health and Social Services.

Brian Gibbons- Economy and Transport.

Jane Hutt - Budget and Business.

Jane Davidson- Sustainability and Rural Development.

Andrew Davies- Social Justice and Public Services Delivery.

This has all the hallmarks of the same old Labour pantomime with the same old cast, and the same old lines we’ve heard for the last eight years! The Glamorgan mafia are hardly going to make much difference to the many problems in the North, West and Mid Wales faces.

Rhodri Morgan and his labour cronies are more interested in the day-to-day survival of his government rather than the delivery of dynamic, radical policies that will benefit every community in every part of our country.

Day by day it becomes clear to people from across the political divide and the general electorate at large, that the only option with the vision and optimism, to take Wales forward into 2007 and beyond is the rainbow coalition.
